The central patio reflects, in all of its details, the sensibilities and good taste of the Franciscan Friars who occupied it, professing their Catholic faith into the very walls. This defeat of the French and their subsequent departure from Puebla, is one of Puebla’s proudest moments.Barrio de Los Sapos is also home to many of Puebla’s best restaurants, as well as numerous shops and even the weekend flea market, where local color can be enjoyed in both the regional delicacies and the unique items for sale.
